I found a killer "INDEPENDENCE, UNITY & PROSPERITY" button today !!

I went back to my "Church Hill" site today for a few hours and found a GW button and some other goodies. I am too old to be digging things like this .. makes my heart beat too hard! This thing still has an in-tact shank, too!

Congrats. Banner vote submitted for a rarely-seen GWI button variety. Regarding the value of the item alone, you had a very good day of detecting. GWI buttons are the end-all in the collecting of political memorabilia and appear consistent in demanding high bids at auction. Did you have it restored recently? If so, I would post another picture on this one thread and including item to give some scale of size as these buttons are quite large.

Here is another find for the day. Been trying to clean it up more so I could see what it says easier, but I better stop at this point. Cool token, but pretty well toasted! Found this near the old house site on the "Hill"

With all the excitement about the button, the token sorta got lost in the shuffle. I think you are the only one who saw it! Anyhow, thanks for taking a look and for your thoughts.. Now I can go back and look at it again with a renewed interest!
