I found a dolla'!!! OK, a clad dollar it is. Combing the park along some areas I'd hit before and a new spot yielded some interesting finds, including a toasty 1904 Indian, an 1896, and a vintage Sacred Heart pin. There were 5 wheats: '18, '23, '42, '46, and '57D. The remains of a diecast pistol has "M.P. CO. U.S.A." printed on it. Aside from the dollar coin, there was $1.28 clad.

Great! Doin' well, and that dollar coin is still significant, as one wont find one, normally...!

Nice! Great finds!

Nothing wrong with that hunt McCDig. :occasion14: Two Indians, 5 wheats, and the dollar coin are all keepers. I couldn't even dig a wheat on my last hunt.

Thanks EMDT. Thought it would be a quarter I was digging. knew it was shallow. Finding it to be a dollar was a surprise. As you said, rare; think its been more than a year since the last one.

Thanks L-D. I plan on exploring some new parts of the park in my next hunt, which may not be 'til later next weekend, or later. Stay-tuned. We'll see if the indian streak continues.

Thanks Msbeepbeep. 2nd indian and a two-wheat spill came from the last 15 minutes of the hunt as I worked off the top edge of a hillside.

Very cool.....

Thanks Treblehunter. Coolness, as you said, keeps coming out of the ground.

McDig, you asked for it....

Great hunt, congrats! I enjoy digging clad dollar coins, I find all of mine at schools! 8-) Sub

Thanks Trezurehunter. All finds appearing in this post were dug by "McCDig" under Baltimore Rec and Parks valid permit.

Thanks trapperart. It was cool to be able to end the hunt with an indian.
