I feel for you southerners. Its Snowin

Not to rub it in or anything, but January 23rd, and it's the first full day I felt I needed to wear a long sleeve shirt.
I think New England got "our" winter, and then some!

Stay safe everyone.

December was the warmest month ever in New England. This is the first decent snowstorm we've gotten this winter. We got around 8 inches here in N. Scituate, which is a joke to us New Englanders. The roads will be bare by noon tomorrow and life goes on. Of course, metal detecting will be a little tough right now!

That's my cuzz,,,, don't make fun of him.

Kind of reminded me of northerners coming to a halt in their cars on I-95 during a typical daily tropical storm in south Florida. They're the ones pulled under the bridges while the rest of us turned our wipers on high and kept going.

Wow that is the truth.. Of course we have to be stronger than most to live up north ..

Stronger? Takes more strength to fight a 400 pound Marlin than a 1600 pound cow.

If your speaking of snow, southerners just say "if it's that bad, why do they stay there?".

There's plenty of sunshine to go around for everyone.:laughing7:

Wth...

Was that a "tongue test"... heh...

"hey you guys got winders ? ... look out em... its snowin" lol

Yeah but you folks of the north can't handle humidity.....:laughing7:

Hmm...don't know about that. I was in Bar Harbor, Maine when it was so humid with mist, the tree's literally dripped water like rain. Clothing was soaken wet 10 minutes after walking outside.

I fed and watered the birds in a Tee shirt yesterday------------------29*-----no biggie. I guess we only have about 5 days nasty weather per year average.

No it takes more of a man or woman to stay in the cold & snow for the winter season than to fight a marlin for a few minutes or hours..

They can't handle fire ants, skeeters, gnats, and red bugs!! I had some yankee neighbor's for 11 years next door up until last year when he was able to retire, and they sold out and moved back to meechigan. Everytime they got out in the yard to do yardwork, they each used an entire spray can of bug repellent!!

I didn't think this snow was that bad. I got 26" but it was more powder then wet.
Already making plans for which beach I'm hitting after work tomorrow.

My water froze last night. Going to be in the 50's tomorrow, 60's later in the week :laughing7:

Hey, Loco-Digger..

Would you believe me if I told you the state record for snow(24-hour snowfall) was the same in Tennessee as it is in Ohio!?

30 inches

Well no snow here, not even in the local mountains, melted away 2 days latter, big bear ca, has snow (they make it themselves).
About 68 degrees today.8-) Low tide around 4pm, -.7, I think.
Only get 10" rain a year if your lucky, but let it start drizzling and all hell breaks out on the roads.
I got to be the only one in southern-southern CA ( that's south of L.A.) who knows how to drive in the rain or snow. I'm also the only person who replaces wiper blades every year whether I used them or not.

lol,so its like that huh Loco:laughing7:.Snow is not uncommon here in Va,we get it every year.Us Virginians are tough!.We are highly resilient to all the different elements.I just wish some of those Yankees we encounter could just pronounce there R's.Hey Ma i'm taking the caw to the staw.say it with me rrrrrrrrrrrrrr.Pretend your a pirate.rrrrrrrrrr.lol
