Ok here is what happened to me. I was sitting at my desk bored and decided to look at the Kellyco summer clearance catalog. I almost fell off my chair! There was a featured story on me on page 4!!!! The page containing the sales pitch for the dfx!!! I did send them the pictures...no doubt... understand they were sent to hopefully get some attention..but this catalog was sent to me a few months ago! They could have at least mentioned they were using my photos in their catalog....not very good...not good at all...sorry...but they just lost a customer that may be adding a back up detector for next year.

Since YOU sent pictures to them, they can use them as advertising as they see fit. They don't need to contact you for permission,or tell you they are using them.....you gave them permission when you sent the pictures to them.

They gave you the attention.

They did send your a "free" copy of their
summer clearance catalog.

I believe as stated in the previous post,that once you sent them the pics they can use them.
I am not sure but i believe if you read the info on there web site it also clearly states that.
I am not that good looking,but if they used my pic would be happy!!!!

No I had no problem with them using them at all! I just think seeing it was posted in their catalog and did use the photos...it would have been nice to know. As far as the free catalog it almost ended up in the garbage without being looked at! Then I would have never known...

I've not dealt with Kellyco and probably won't. I have dealt with a couple sponsors of this forum and have been satisfied. Nothing against kellyco, but prefer to talk to the same person and know I will be taken care of. Only dealings with Kellyco was to call and ask for a catalog two years ago and still waiting!

Well i purchased Four Minelab Detectors from Kellyco Last year, and guess what the same person sold me all four, If you ask for the person that you want to talk to they will talk with you and if you call back and ask for the person again, you will get them.

There is alot of people that like jumping on the band wagon and trashing Kellyco, I detect in Florida alot, so if i have a problem i go to Orlando and it's taken care of, Wanda there at Kellyco is very experienced and will give you a good deal, They took care of me right away when i purchased my first detector it was missing a small part, and they shipped it out that same day,

Kellyco has a great website, it's ashame you have been waiting two year's for the catalog,Why not look at there website instead like thousand's do daily.

Kellyco ships there detectors free and if you live out side of Florida you do not pay sales tax, Plus they include free items, Some free items are okay some are cheap, But there free and this is Kellyco's Way of saying thank's, and this is why i have been a repeat customer.

There is another good dealer on this forum, Tonyinct, Tony has a great website also and he has a few items I'm wanting to buy for my Minelab SE the pinpointer,and when i finally get the money i will be contacting Tony.

I was at Kellyco a couple month's ago and the sales person there took about a hour answering every question this young man asked about wanting to purchase a ace 250, Well the man purchased it and knew all there was to know,and i purchased a sand scoop and a sand pan for the water,and i asked them if they could drill a couple holes in the plastic pan and the man went in the back and they took care of me that day,and the drilling was done free.

Spend you money where you want and happy you talked to the same person, I didn't BASH kellyco and am on no band wagon, you work with kellyco because they are close to you, they are not to me and I enjoy spending my money, note MY money where I feel comfortable spending it and if I choose not to go thru kellyco it is my choice not yours. I would like to see where you think I am bashing kellyco?? Show me where, because I asked for a catalog a couple years ago and not recieved it?? Thats a fact, and if they wanted me to buy from them, maybe they should have sent the catalog, don't you agree! I'm happy you have no problems with them, good for you, but it means little to me, I spend my money where I choose! I'm sure the TNet sponsers have no problems with me buying from them as well!! Just don't use my post saying I'm bashing kellyco because nothing in that post mentions me bashing them. I even mentioned nothing aginst kellyco!

I spoke before I counted to ten and probably over reacted when I felt and feel I didn't bash kellyco. Every deal I've made I doubt kellyco could have saved me money. They might have matched, but I can say they would not have saved me money. My Explorer 2 cost me 500 bucks, they couldn't touch it. My DFX cost me ten cents and NOBODY can touch that!! I got my Ace 250 for $195 including s/h and no savings ther either!! I don't have a huge wallett for my hobby and have to make the best deal possible, so I wouldn't feel good about $100 saved because its a hundred bucks I could spend on something else!

I'v known Others to have Problems with receiving Catalogs also.
I wonder if they are Limited.

I Have had problems also at times.
Last time this happend to me,
I used an Old one & called.
When they quoted Higher Prices,
I Insisted my Last Catalog had Lower Prices.
and they gave me a deal.

I have also found cheaper Prices elswhere,
& Kellyco matched them, & gave me Extra Extras.

Like every Buisness though, Everone has their
own Favorite place to buy.
I am a Nervous person when Dealing long Distance.
I'v known & trusted Kellyco for years so that helps.

Thanks everyone for their responses! This was not a meant to be anything but what was posted.....I think if it was a general statement for customer service like "wow the service was very good". Posting that on their web site is fine. But I just thought it would have been nice to know the photos were in there. That is all I said! Lets not make something big out of this! Just the fact I think anyone having something of theirs printed would like to know that is all. If I did not hide the catalog away my wife would have trashed it like she does all the newspaper in the house. Also as far as freedom to shop around that is what makes competition.

I will try to explain one more time...read slower...right I said I had no problem with them using it....

My problem was I would have liked to have known!
