Hello,i would love to hear EXACTLY what this button is...it appears to be silver(pressed,over a tin,metal frame)and from FR JOSEPH 1 WHO I BELEIVE REIGNED over poland/checz? and was crowned in 1848.the question?? IS THIS A MILITARY BUTTON OR A ROYAL FAMILY BUTTON??? any help would be greatly appreciated,THANK'S!!!

Where are you, if in US. I would say modern blazer button. Never seen a military button with a date.

Franz Josef I? Austro-Hungarian Empire, I think. I don't know that the button is that old at all, though. Can we see a photo of the back of it?

YES,Austro-Hungarian empire!,i beleive the button is old,just based on where&whom it came from...anyway i will try&get a pic of the back.thank's for the input,i'll be back!AGAIN THANK'S!!!
