I.D. help 1812- 1820s period

The site I'm close to was the main supply and support site in 1837-38.
There was also a very important meeting between Sherman and Cocochee at this site.
By 1839 the focus shifted south..and a very interesting thing happened.
The first U.S. Military joint task force was formed between the Army and the Navy (swamp sailers)..forming what became known as the...."Mosquito Fleet"

this could be from when the british were in west florida during the war of 1812 time * frame --the Spanish late in the war for American indepenance jumped in on he American side and England gave Florida back to Spain in 1783 as part of the war settlement --England only "officially" ruled Florida for 20 years --1763 to 1783 --but made a lot of headway into developing Florida's interior and farming -- Spain being there was no gold or silver to be had "inland" had stayed mainly on the coast and built cities mainly for repair bases and house of refuge for wrecked and damaged ships of its treasure and trading fleets.

Absolutely .. I was also thinking something as simple as just old garments given to volunteers.
