Its been real slim pickins here the last few days, I had already worked my last permissions to the point I was`t getting any signals so today I went door
knocking again. First house was about two blocks away from where I had some earlier luck so I was happy to get a new yard to try today.

Only took seven passes and I got a solid 25 signal, so I thought I would be digging up a dime, I wasn`t ready at all for what I saw at the bottom of the hole.
I saw a silver rim, thought I may have got lucky and found another Washington, when I pulled it out I gently wiped the dirt off and saw I had a BARBER!!!
Wow, what a surprise, I have been doing this now for four months and this is my single greatest coin yet!

I`m glad nobody was around to see me doing my silver dance, they might have figured I was having a stroke or something!

Not ten minutes later I got another dime signal and it was shallow, only 2-3 inches, so I figured it was just a clad dime, wrong again, out pops my third
Merc! After than I found three wheats a 1912,1930 and of course a 1944(my most common find) and a few clad coins to end the day.

I certainly got to start knocking on more doors, I`m starting to like the results.:laughing7:

Great find!! Didn't you just comment on a post of mine a few days ago how you didn't have a Barber to your credit yet? There you go! Also, for whatever reason I've had a harder time finding teen barbers than 1900-1909 so great job on that too and just sneaking in there. Hopefully there's more where that came from in short order!

I found my first Barber while creek hunting for bottles and arrowheads. It had been a very unproductive day, and I was about to turn around and head back downstream when I spotted in the water what turned out to be a 1903-O quarter. Sure made for a good day. Congrats on your find!
