The hunting spirits have allowed yet another hunt. Nothing spectacular but still a very fun day and some interesting finds!

Old play money? :icon_scratch:
It's in pretty good shape and a solid metal of some sort.

These last two I actually found a long time ago. Today, I found them on my floor! LOL Guess they were trying to escape! :)
But, is anyone familiar with them? The tag says 1889, the back is blank. The other thing, it has 13 stars but that's as far as I know. :dontknow:

No clue on the Rhino head. It's metal and looks like it was broken off something. Shoulda seen my face when I opened the hole
and this was staring back at me! LOL

The little bracelet might be homemade. :dontknow:

Funny thing. The lens thingy is actually the same color as the purple stones on the bling. :dontknow:

The "exit find" for today? Hard to pick but I gotta go with this one:

I think the characters before the "ster" are a jeweler's mark.
And, I'd almost swear the first one is a stamp of a bird. Anyone else see that? :icon_scratch:

Something else funny. Blingie is eyeballing all the bling found today, but for some reason,
he won't go anywhere near them. I wonder why? ;)

LOL

Thanks for stopping by!

:icon_thumright: she is trying to sing loudly here. thank god for duct tape and thermals!

I would bet the 1889 tag is a dog tax tag. it looks like it was worn for a long time before wearing through and falling off. if that is what it is, it is probably worth some bucks to dog tag collectors.

Ya know, I didn't think dog tags went back that far. LOL Never thought of that. I'm not sure on this one though.

It also says:
"M & C.C.O.E. "
"334"
"BALTO, 1889"

Interesting thought though. Also, if it is a dog tag or not, it's an interesting story how it got where I found the thing. :) Wish I knew the story. :)

Thanks!

The shield is a branch insignia pin for the United States Army Adjutant General's Corps

Nice finds! Ya Blingie is certainly eyeing the jewelry "from a distance"!!! But I do believe he's been perusing your metal finds, and left them on the floor! That rhino is unique! Maybe you have found a way to hang onto your jewelry finds!! A guard rhino!!! GL & HH!

Really! That's such a mouthful for such a small pin! ;)

This would be current then?

Thanks!

Now that, is an idea! A guard rhino! LOL

Wish I knew what it was from, pretty solid, what's left of it.

Blingie and the escape! Now why didn't I think of that? :dontknow:

Thanks!
