This morning our group was to clean up a local fresh water beach and I was the only one that showed up for the "work." After two hours I was pooped and wasn't done with the area either.
I had to use my CZ20 since it can find iron and trash that doesn't belong on a beach. Hunted in Autotune which is a hot all metal mode. While sweeping, you'll hear a slight noise which means a target is just outside the coils dia. by a few inches. You go "on point," then and sweep it towards the noise, then BEEP! You can flick the disc. knob to 0 to id the target as iron, mid range, or high. Since I am cleaning the beach I just scoop all noises. I get lots of fish hooks this way.
Today I already had a trash pouch full of 15 junk earrings and assorted paper trash when I decided to hit the buoy line again before I quit for the morning. In one spot I hot two gold wedding bands, a plain yellow 14 Kt. and a nice white gold 10 Kt, with 7 small diamonds in a grove on top. Now I was in this area before 3 times and didn't get the coil over them. Besides this stuff I scooped up 12 quarters, 11 dimes, 1 nickel and 5 new pennies. The rings weren't reported missing by anyone yet.
