I couldn't post this in Setp. when I hunted this site as I was leaving the country and just got back but here they are.
My local club was putting on their annual open hunt in Lathrop Mo. on Sept 16 and we were there on Sat. planting the fields. We finished about noon and several of us stopped at the local cafe to get some dinner. When we finished eating I told everyone that I was going to the city park and do some diggin and ask if anyone wanted to go(I only had 1 taker) Wendell and I hit the park for about an hour and a half and I was in shock at all the coins I found. (Wendell didn't do very well). I lived in this area for over 20 years and had hunted in this park many times. I guess I must not have hunted the spot of all my finds very good or anyone else either. My first dig was an 1876 seated dime and next to it was a 98 barber dime. I guess this is another reason for hunting those "hunted out sites"
