Update on the 46g PT800. I've attached some better photos and have the 18k 5g next to it for scale. I'm still hunting for its many little cousins out there. [emoji4]

Who in their right mind goes to the beach in 55mph wind gust with rain coming down sideways? Me. See below why. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1454268631.777655.jpg

Let's start with the fun stuff. A class ring and 2 silvers. Hopefully I can find the class ring owner (looks like steel).

Now one for the wife or daughter. Their discussing this topic and is still yet to be resolved. 14k bracelet with little diamonds. Not broken and ready to wear.

This next one would normally be the highlight of any day at the beach...but not today. Not even close. 18k (5g) with 6 little stones that test real. Definitely could have left the rain and surf at this point. But I stuck it out for 30 more minutes.

Last, and certainly not least is the HUGE PT800 (80% plat, 20% palladium). Weighs in at 46g. Wasn't very deep and nearly blew my ear drums with the excal. I thought it was just another rust bolt until I saw a glimmer of shine. By far my heaviest to date. The 4 stones are real too.

Thank you El Niño.

Excellent collection of finds and love the platinum ring. That's another item on my wish list. Glad you got out and found something like this for your effort in the waves.

Congrats Redcobra8u!!!!:notworthy:
BEAUTIFUL finds indeed.

The beaches are giving up big time around So cal.
I think I need to call in sick for the week and just hit it HARD :laughing7:

Keep it up!!!
let me know if you want company one day too

I've been really itching to go Gold prospecting in the mountains and Desert lately, but with the way the beaches have been giving, Gold and Silver...and Platinum.... It's just too good to pass up. And the beaches are SO much closer too.

Incredible hunt...congrats on all those great finds...Im voting banner on that plat.

Jaw dropping finds congratulations!

Can you speak to safety? What was your strategy not to get sucked up in the ocean in such hostile conditions! I saw a picture of the waves! They looked 12 feet high!

PI Pete, I never turn my back to the surf. Learned that one the hard way last year. I stay far enough back from the low tide line and make sure the cut isn't too high that I can't get out. If it's too nasty, I head over the the pub, grab a beer and will rings off people's fingers are on the next sunny day. Lol.

Ain't that the truth! Even our little pansy east coast waves, one almost knocked the breath outta me last summer, hit me just right, as I had momentarily took my eyes off..... Plus, you never know when one can throw a board, coconut, or something, up side your head.
Your haul is great! I don't think all my plat rings together, weigh as much as your one!
Great going and HH!

Im so jeleous florida beach the trerasure coast never know what you will find plus the beauty of the ocean Great stuff My turn

Awesome hunt! Gold and platinum in the same hunt, wow. Congratulations and thanks for sharing.

At 55 deg and rain coming in sideways - perfect time to hunt the otherwise crowded beaches! No one to bother you and you'll cover a lot of ground. These are my type of weather conditions for hunting "dry" sand. This is an example of why I call metal detecting an "Extreme Sport" or at least can be considered an extreme sport under the right circumstances. Try surf hunting with even 2-3 ft waves coming in or hunting at low tide at 3 am in the morning and you have other examples of extreme sport metal detecting. Love it!

Nice hunt and I thought our 70 degree water was cold.

beats my 14G plat with 18k inlay....wtg

OBN, I think it's because I have one up already. Thanks for the support!

FYI, part of the banner requirements are good pictures, plat pictures are very blurry....
