Do not try to clean it unless you don't intend to sell. If you just want to pretty it up assuming it is
copper I would apply GO-JO original formula, let it dissolve the dirt, wash, dry more GO-JO, use
a wooden toothpick to get the hard to get spots clean, wash with distilled water and dry by holding
the coin on the edge next to light bulb until dry.
This method will not scratch the coin but an expert can tell it has been cleaned. First find out the
value.

WHOA ! ! ! On second thought your friend may have something rare. Wait for the experts on TNet
to give you a value before even touching this coin. Do not even put it in water till then.
