lol..jump to conclusions...who said I am unarmed?
I have said many people should not be allowed to own firearms...and certainly should not be allowed to carry one around...

I believe in all the constitution, not just the amendments that fit my world view.

If you believe in the constitution then you must believe in the second amendment. What is with this picking and choosing?

and I live where everything sticks, stings, or bites...

Your quote...... so you also go armed all the time.... Good!

I believe in all the Bill of Rights as well, only mine has no exceptions like yours....

"Amendment II. A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."

Nope, I looked, no where in the 2nd Amendment does it say "except for some people"....

To each their own, but I can't imagine feeling as though I had to carry a gun in order to be out in the world!

Do you buy car insurance, flood insurance, health insurance, life insurance, hurricane insurance, home owners insurance? You buy them hoping you will never need them. Being armed is insurance that I have the ability to protect my family, my home and myself...

In 2011 in Orlando there were 29 murders, 119 rapes, 697 robberies, 1746 assaults, 4185 burglaries, 11,669 thefts, 1311 auto thefts and 45 arsons....With a crime rate of 83 per one thousand residents, Orlando has one of the highest crime rates in America compared to all communities of all sizes - from the smallest towns to the very largest cities. One's chance of becoming a victim of either violent or property crime here is one in 12.

Everything in Orlando is not the fantasy of Disney World, Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, there is a harsh reality.....

That is just crimes in Orlando, Orlando, last year I was in Miami, St Pete, Daytona Beach, Meborne Beach, Lakeland, Clearwater, Tampa, Ft Lauderdale, West Palm, Hilton Head Island SC, Charleston SC and all places in between.....

Just so it's known, that someone knows, JA should be thanking Brenda Lee for that song he claims as his.
Her dad Pete Lee was "The Torrey Island Boy", and his daughter wrote this song and published it in a Calif college newspaper.
He should have at least thanked her, as she has many songs he could have rode on, for many yrs. Ever hear of him now?

I used to fish Alligator Alley alone, yrs and decades ago, even pick mangos back on the dot property. Spent many good times at Petes' camp, with the family, lived at Karls, at Toms' cabin, frequented the Meadows camp, and others. You don't head out into the Everglades unless armed. It's not for thugs or criminals, it's for wild hogs and snakes. It is not a very forgiving place.

I would have posted the video from Petes' funeral(which JA's video holds no candle to), but, his wife Ann had asked I not, as she has the copyright for the video. She is an accomplished artists, who grew up and lived in the Everglades with the Miccosoukie Indians. If JA has a problem with what I posted here, tell him to come on down here, and let's go see Brenda and her brothers, set the record straight!
Some of us KNOW!

More danger in the national forest, and something you should be more worried about. (And it is a sad event, too) 5 people, local folks, killed down at Mt. Princeton. In a rock slide. They really did nothing wrong, just on an outing, but that was the time the rocks gave way. That's a little harder, if not impossible, to prepare for than an attack by an assailant. I have nothin against folks goin armed. Hey, I have my Ruger Vaquero around, but mainly cause it will make a big noise and scare off a bear or lion, I hope. Those of you that are carryin, always remember that if you get into a wrestlin match, there will be a gun involved-yours. And Treasure Hunter, Clay Basket is yours. The OLD version. Young one stays with me, haha!

I live in the forest and I don't live in fear! Far from it!

to the south of me..is the Prescott national forest...about three miles...to the north...is the Coconino national forest...to the east is the tonto national forest...if I pass flagstaff...one comes into the kiabab national forest...

the biggest threat in the national forests are industrialized tourists...tailgating, in a big hurry to see the grand canyon at 60mph.
get out of their way, and you cant shoot em.

I don't live in a national forest or park, but rather in the wilderness area...but thanks!

oh...forgot this part...someone you selectively read and interpret the constitution to fit your believe systems...

A well regulated militia....

notice the first words of the second amendment...the federal government has the right to "regulate" weapons owners....

buy some peoples standards...even criminals are allowed firearms...since the government has no right to infringe upon weapons owners...

selective reasoning at best...delusion at its worst.

ERIE, Pa. (EYT) – A Maine man dubbed the “Allegheny National Forest rapist” was sentenced to life in prison for the 2010 kidnapping and rape.

Sources say 37-year-old Mike Beaulieu was sentenced on Wednesday to life in prison by U.S. District Judge Sean McLaughlin in Erie Federal Court.

Because this is a federal sentence, there is no possibility of parole.

Court documents detail the August 3, 2010, crimes at the Allegheny National Forest.

Notice the last part of 2nd Amendment, "the right of the PEOPLE to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.'

It does NOT say 'the right of the militia to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.'
