How old is this black glass ale bottle?

This seems to be a tough one. I bought this yesterday, thinking it was Civil War period. Was I close at my guesstimate? Three piece mold, non-machine turned, drippy G K on base with a kick up. applied top.





Another thing, is this American made, or British? I have no clue about nuthin' about ale bottles.

Nice one! My gut says English, 1885-1905ish. I love finding these types of bottles, no matter how common they are.
