I have a personal experience to share for lead fish:

I always start my scuba hunt with 1Kg less of ballast with a full tank. During the hunt if my buoyancy changes ( because of air tank volume going down ) = I know I have to hunt a bit faster and collect some fishing weights in my pockets !!!!

At least I try to come back with 0.5 or 1Kg of leads... would preferred to add ballast by finding the equivalent of gold...:laughing7:

Zero. They all sell for cash

AT todays prices you can never have enough. They would sell easily at any pier or boat ramp.

I do believe that is the finest collection of lead weights that I've seen a quite a long time.

Verry nice.

Found a few myself today and gave them to the fisherman next to me-lol

Thats a sweet collection. Wonder how old those circle ones are. 50s or older. Way cool.

Cant ever have too many lead weights, they can be used to make ammo if the need every rises.... I even buy dive belts at garage sales if they have lead bars....
A little time melting on a camp stove & a mold made from C channel to make bars. Good money on the shooting sites! Scrap $1 a pound - $3 - $5 on the shooting forums.

My Dad has declared that it is modern art and offered to sell it to me for 10,000 dollars. I am thinking about having him committed.

How many is too many...on a single hunt its 13 or above and for a whole year its 427 or above.
