Mr Nutt, concerning your post on Tnet of 01-04-08, first I wish to thank you for making this game available, it is fun and thought provoking. Second I'd like to enter my guess at the quantity in dollars contained in the jar, that being 3843.99. Now this may seem rather high and is as compared to other guesses posted. I came upon this figure thusly: I recognized the jar as similar to one at a local establishment so I gather measuring tools and proceded to that location. Upon entering Paco's Carnicaria Y Taquaria I ordered Un Horchata mediano. Said beverage is produced and sold in and from the jar in question. After stirring up a conversation with the fair Senorita ladeling my drink from the cistern I was invited to come behind the counter and obtain the desired dimensions. After figuring the volumetic area of the jar at capacity of pennies shown and dividing by the area displaced by the copper discs, I attempted to calculate in the area used by the unknown quantitative of 21.85 in silver. That's when the high anxiety coupled with the indigestion from my visit to Sr. Paco's caused the breakdown of all science and knowledge and I came up with the wild a$$ guess of 3843.99.
