How is value extracted from a hard rock mine?

Could you grind up some of that stuff, put in a closed test tube heat and show the metallic Hg.
Would be a neat science experiment.

�� yep...you certainly can...I’ve fired some of it in my furnace and poured bars believe it or not If you get the flux just right where you don’t have to beat on it too hard to get the slag off it’s actually quite beautiful! When it’s first cooling it actually looks like a pure bar of gold.
