How Far Do You Live From....

WOW!
I'm somewhat surprised that most of you folks live so close to where you were born, especially in this highly mobile society that we now live in.
I would venture to guess that it is to be around your family, friends, familiarity of setting, etc.

I think there's been studies done on this very topic but can't seem to find anything on it...

Very interesting...
Wonder what the great distances of separation indicate?
Wanderlust, independence, necessity, etc.?

Ahem...I must have too much time on my hands...

Carry on...

Best Wishes,
Scott

I was born in Georgia Baptist, umm, at least that's what it used to be called anyway. Anyway, that was in Atlanta Georgia. I have lived in about a million different places since then. All of which was still within an hour drive of that same hospital. Two weeks ago I was living in a town called Barnesville, I now live in a city called Griffin. Both are within that hour drive from where I was born.

I was Georgia born and Georgia raised !!!!!!

I love the South's culture and of course, THE FOOD!

Gotta Love That Southern Tradition!

Best,
Scott

PS. Mac, you ever make it up around Gainesville, Dawsonville, etc., let me know, we'll hook up and I'll buy you lunch! Especially Dawsonville; there's a place called hogs and dogs or dogs and hogs, anyway, they got the BEST brunswick stew!

I was born of the red dirt on the Caddo-Wichita reservation in Oklahoma outside of Lookeba. There's not a hospital there now, and there wasn't one there then. About 680 miles away from where I am now. For 50 years I never lived any farther than 40 miles from where I was born. For some reason I reinvented myself I guess and now live near the Continental Divide in the middle of the Rockies. I like it here, after 6 years. Still, I'm a RED DIRT COWBOY, so when I die, hopefully with my boots off, (but I might be a legend if they're on) y'all see to it that I'm buried back in Oklahoma, in the red dirt at Red Top Cemetary down near Colony. Maybe we can do that 'Our Town' thing. I could easily spend eternity sittin on my tombstone talkin to the folks and watchin the sun come up and sayin, well, y'all, I don't think today's the day.
