How do you stop the chatter?!?!?

This has bugged me tooooo long On the BH tracker4 when ever i accidentally hit it on a rock or tree stump under the elaves it chatters/beeps. It seems to kinda subside when i really jam in the coil plug to the control box...could this be fixed with a little electrical tape or does it need a professional or something? Anyone else experience this with the tracker4?

ebay, but i would reccomend over 150 pound pull if your serious about recovering iron artifacts. I also have some of the best magnets i have come across i got from a place that uses them to test firealarms.
