How do you find the age of places

Try checking historic maps of your area. If you compare two years (for example, 1900 and 1930), you can estimate when the park was from. if it's listed on the 1930 map but not 1900 you know it was built sometime inbetween those years. Or if you get out digging and find some artifacts, that can help you date the site.
 

some parks have plaques with the year they were dedicated..not always the case, good luck to you, other tnetters will have better advice than me
 

A book about the history of your city. Call the library. If a small town, go to college library and check special collections...
 

By using a good detector.
 

Also check plat maps (or atlases) for your city/county/state. You can google search this information or go check your local library.
