How do I stop the Google ads from appearing on T-net on my screen?

I am just curious if there is a way to stop being bombarded with the Google ads whenever I log onto T-net? I have zero interest in those at all, and find them quite annoying. These are the ads that always appear under the 2 main tool bars at the top of the page. If you know a way to make this stop, please let me know.

I think Google is breaking the "No Political Talk" on TNET Rule too!!!

I stopped using I.E. a number of years ago and switched to Mozilla Firefox. I hated the pop-ups etc, went to Kim Komando's website (Komando.com) and read the instructions for setting up security. Went into "Tools", "Ghostery", and set to block all pop-ups. I get virtually zero and have for a long time - still get a few here and there. And there's some websites I just can't navigate - but then I figure if they're that darned corrupt I don't want to be there anyway.

click the blue Triangle top right, But there is unfortunately no opt-out of Google Spam

Jeff, Firefox does show a quick box on blocked items, most of which are from Google.

I get zero Google pop-ups, and do not see the ads you and Diggin show in your pics.

You were apparently just reading something that had to do with the %ss
or taxes so Google tried to make you read more.

Its none of their business what I read, or look at online though....

Google will still Spy, They just won't remind you they are, By trying to push their agenda via your screen

Call them... Don't you have them on speed dial ? Seriously though. I dumped Winduhs and IE and I get NO advertisments on any sites I go to. I have no anti virus program or anti spyware programs installed that slow things down while pretending to "protect" you, and I don't have any complaints. I use Ubuntu which is a form of Linux and I have Google Chrome and Firefox as broswers depending on what I'm doing. If you insist on keeping the same old disease ridden junk that Microsoft puts out then expect to have to deal with garbage.

Matt, check out Kim Komando's website too. There's probably options for I.E. as well, but since most malware and viruses feed off I.E., I switched to Firefox. I've had zero viruses in years, and very seldom get Malware. But I also use the Malware blockers she recommends. She has a GREAT bunch of security info

I don't want to block the Banner of notification pop ups just google adds

On my page using Google Chrome I have an "AdBlock" icon at the upper right of the page. Looks like a stop sign. Currently it says it has blocked 3 ads on this page alone and 280,000+ total since I installed it. This is what I see..
