How do I attach a photo to a PM?

How on earth do I attach a photo to a PM? I can put the image in the text from the button bar above the text body, but there are no buttons to upload the attachment. Help! I know, I know. I've been at this site for a long time now, and I should have learned how to do this before today...

But it is driving me nuts!

In post,reply or modify, you should have a (ADD IMAGE)browser towards the bottom for you to attach a picture from your file.You have to make sure it is in jpeg formate and no larger than 300.
I think that's what you are asking.PM

Yes, but my Tnet mail doesn't have an "add images" part below there like it does on the "Post Reply" screen! So I can insert the link for to send a PM with a photo, but not actually upload the photo. I have received PM's with photos before from other Tnet members...so can someone fill me in

I see. I wonder how in the sam hill someone managed to send me a PM with a photo on it then. Can't even remember who it was now...but I know I've received one.

You could send a hyperlink to a webhosting service like photobucket.com

Looks like they are answering via their e -mail, regular not through TN.That way you can just copy and paste or attach.

Greetings...you cannot attach a photo to the PM. You can however, embed the URL into the image format ([img.][/img.]). That gives the illusion the photo is attached.

Basically, what Boobydoo said.

Since the starter of the thread obviously doesn't wish to share the information he received "via email" with anyone else on here :P ,i'll say thank you for the response SWR.

You have to use a program called "Photobucket". here's the link:

It's free; you just sign up and load photos from your computer into your own file. Then you have 4 options to copy and paste so that others can view your photos. I use the IMG option

No--my fault for not posting it expeditiously. Thank you for your help, SWR. I thought I was in the minority with this topic, but I realize that it just isn't something a lot of folks know how to do.

That'd be a little hard to do since i'm always logged in. You didn't have to cut & paste anything. All you had to do was acknowledge the fact. Geez, didn't mean to ruffle your feathers. Thanks for the response, both of you guys and Gypsyheart and Boobydoo.
