Got out for seven hours yesterday in what started out as a beautiful day, temp 60, no wind and sunny quickly turned into a bad day after about three hours, 30 mile an hour wind, completely cloudy, temp 25 and snow. Made the best of it anyway at a old house place that the best info i could get on it was that it was tore down in the 60's. Ended up with a avon lipstick tube, some sort of little stand that looks like was in a fire, a miniature fork made from aluminum, two 1941 wheat's and this coin. Is it Chinese? Is it a coin or a token?

Nice Score looks like a token to me !

Not a token - a Chinese Cash coin. There have been a number of posts about them here with some very nice links to sites that can identify and date them.

Well from the best i can tell from doing a little searching it is a Chinese cash coin from the Ch'ing Dynasty produced from 1796-1820. If that is correct then it means that is my oldest coin i have ever found at 200+ years. WOW.. Never thought my oldest would be foreign but hey ill take it anytime, anywhere. But i still cant helpcant help but wonder how did it get to Ackerman?? Guess we will never know.
