This rock makes my pin pointer scream. After digging down 10 to 12” , I finally decided to check the rocks that I was chipping out. Any ideas what mineral this could be ?

Hmm, must have some iron in it to make your pin pointer scream. When you rub it on something, does it leave any color streak? Is it magnetic at all?

Not magnetic at all and it will leave a streak on the lid of a toilet. It’s really crumbly and would be easy to pulverize. Nothing stands out with a loupe.
