Horseshoe's anyone????

I skipped out of work a few hours early today to do some detecting. Yes, priorities are straight. ;D I went relic hunting to a place I have had success with in the past. About 30 minutes into the hunt I found a hoard of horseshoes. Surprisingly they were all in a 5 foot radius. Total of 7 whole shoes and a few broken ones. Not a great thing to find in the beginnings of a hunt mind you. Had to lug them for 3 hours. :o By the way I found them next to a very old tree that would surely had been their during the CW. That is what prompted me to go to it. I also found a 3 ring mini and a buck shot. I found a ton of iron ( nails, etc.) Also found an old Clorax bottle with lid and some bleach still inside. In the picture with the Mini's you'll see an odd piece of metal. It was deep and I don't believe it to be modern. It has some rust on it but overall it's shinny. Any ideas? Also does anyone know anyway to ID the horseshoes? Meaning are they CW period? Thanks for looking.

Hey don't feel bad, now you can have your own Horseshoe Game. Nice finds, I like finding horsehoes also,
about 2 weeks ago, I found a couple of them, guess it was better than not finding anything.

Like the 3 ringer also, I'd go back to that site and give it another try.
