Can you tell the age of this, I think an old horse tooth found in old river bed. image.jpeg

I doubt any age can be given.

Definitely a tooth from a herbivore, could be something from as late as the Miocene era.

You can estimate the age of a horse from it's teeth but can't tell the age of a tooth w/o the horse.

I don't think it's a horse tooth. Might post on down a bit in fossils.

Cattle tooth, find loads of them, but most of mine are circa 2000 old. Don't know if there is anyway to date without carbon dating it.

Could you post pictures from other angles and include a size reference like a coin in one of them, That would help with the id.

The cow died on April 4th 1887 her name was Matilda. I certainly hope you're going to return the tooth to Matilda's descendants and heirs.
