Howdy Folks. After finding another nice Indian Head Cent at the old church the other day I thought I'd stay in my hometown and hunt a bit. Yesterday I hit an abandoned school property that covers about five acres. It has given up a few very nice older coins. I managed a 100 year old penny along with a 1945. Deep domed button. "Gold" button. It was deep. Not sure if it's old or not? Huge nail or small spike. Not much else. Today I hit the 1843 church. Managed a 1941 D wheat penny, a pair of buttons, one button looks like an old flat button made of "pewter" but, for some reason doesn't look like it's been in the ground long? Found my first pair of tweezers! Lousy sounding signal. Glad it's gone. I headed across the street to my neighbor's property and got a sweet deep signal in the 80's under some nasty roots. It turned out to be a brass bell. So not really WOO HOO finds but, a few keepers right out the front door. I know this little town has more surprises if I am willing to work for them. Thanks for stopping by. Kurios1

Hi, some nice keepers you found there:icon_thumright:

You picked out a few older finds, keep it up.:icon_thumleft:

That cast button is in great shape. Congrats!

Thanks buddy. It looks like an old 18th century pewter button but, appears as if it was just dropped recently?!? I will put it in the What Is It section to see what's up with this button.

Nice finds! I like the "gold button"

Thanks mate. I like it too. It was a deep target at nearly 8 inches I reckon. Funny thing is it registers a solid 84 on my Nokta Impact in VLX2 mode? Not sure if it's old or new. It's light weight almost like aluminum? Might have to do some research to find out what it is. :hello:

Very nice finds, I like that bell and your buttons.
