The old skool sifters we made we used truck inner tubes. when transporting you could deflate the tube to make it easier to carry & transport in the van. Now days you can get huge wire ties that are used for air conditioning ducts. If you get tired of the thing running into you or constantly floating around in front of you, use a piece of 1/2" pvc pipe on the rope. I used an old military cartridge belt. Run the rope through the PVC to the belt. You can just turn 90 deg to see what's in it. The ones I made could be carried on two fingers. Wish I would've had the materials available now back then (1960s - 70s)
