🥇 BANNER Holy cow artifact!

Been in a bit of a slump with the detector lately, nothing but clad, caps and tabs. Decided to change things up a bit and go look for artifacts. Called a permission a few hours away to see if the ground was clear, and he said it was so off I went. Was having an okay day and finding a few decent points when I spotted this tip sticking up from the crust. Tried to give it a little wiggle but it was in there solid. I was hoping for a whole point maybe an inch and a half long and not broken. I just about soiled myself when I pulled up the biggest Elko knife I've ever found! Thanks for lookin'

That is beautiful. I'm voting Banner. I don't know a lot about this topic. I honestly don't know how rare your find is. But I do know it's beautifui. Coupled with your amazing in situ recovery photos make this a thread that belongs at the top for all to see.

That is an awesome find in SO MANY ways!! How that thing survived without getting broken is amazing enough! Then you have to look at the phenomenal craftsmanship that made it so long ago!! Finally as others have said, it would have been SO easy to have accidently broken it in the excitement of trying to pull it out of the ground!

Just beautiful - you can look at it every day and think about the history it could tell if it could speak!! Well done and grats
