Found this one in three feet of lake water. It has 925R inside the locket.
What is the R? Silver? Filled?
Help!

Yes r is for Riempito I think. Italian for filled

Man, it even passed the magnet test! I believe it says lreland below the 925 R, I was just sure it was pure.

I thought it mean silver gilt, ie. the gold plating has come of??

I can't tell from the picture, but 'silver gilt' means solid silver with gold plating. Not sure it is though.
