I’ve reached a point in my life where I can return to a hobby I once enjoyed. Work and home life is now permitting me to shoot coins again. I cut my teeth picking up a used Whites XLT then the DFX and proceeded to have fun shooting for coins ten plus years ago.

I picked up my DFX a few weeks ago
only to discover one of the battery prongs corroded away so it’s currently sitting in repairs at the whites authorized shop in VA. I’ll either keep for a loaner or sell once it has a clean bill of health

I stumbled into here only to discover some amazing machines to replace my DFX and was looking close at the XP Deus and Etrac when I made the mistake of watching a YouTube of a well respected member here doing some great comparisons using the Anfibio

Back to the drawing board

Winter setting in, so I have plenty of time to research

Welcome Aboard! Take a look at Forum:Michigan for information (i.e., clubs, etc.) directly related to your state.

Welcome to Tnet from Mississippi.

Welcome to the forum! :icon_thumleft:

Enjoy the DFX and have a great 2019 season!

Welcome from North Central Illinois. 🙋

Welcome to the site from middle Georgia!! All kinds of great info across multiple sub-forums to research during the off-season. It's one of the strengths of this site. And plenty of folks to answer just about any question for any scenario you can imagine for any type of treasure/relic hunts. I know you'll enjoy it here and look forward to your successes in the spring!

Welcome!

Welcome! Try to test drive a new machine. Every machine has it's own fan club, and everyone including me has an opinon. Each machine has plus's and drawbacks, and there is no magic wand out there! It will depend on where you dig. Since you're in Michigan, a salt water machine won't be of much help, unless you vacation in Florida most of the year! Also, almost all machines are now used on Ebay or other websites. See if there's a dealer where you can test drive some. My best advice. (I have bought some machine I plain didn't like sight unseen.)

:hello: Hello and welcome to T-Net from Southeast Louisiana..."D"

Welcome from Corsicana, Texas!

Welcome back!!

Welcome from Arizona. Good luck finding the right detector for you. It's confusing as there are many to choose from. My MXT has served me well and I'll never let it go, but I'm also looking to try something new.

Should have included this above in my post. I just bought a used Anfibio a couple of weeks back. Really enjoying it. Weather 74 today. Enjoyed getting out & hunting some...
