Hoard of silver found Metal detecting

Great finds! I was surprised to see you using a shovel to lever against silver, but in the excitement of the find and wondering what you have, I can see how it could happen.

I hope you contact the grandson and at least offer him the small intact trophy as a keepsake of his grandfather (not that you are required to because insureance probably paid back when it was stolen, but it would be a nice gesture).

good thing he had his shovel so he could tear the holy hell out of it, lmao. scrap the sterling and your looking at a couple a hundred maybe. I doubt the history matters now being all bent up like it is, im a bit more careful in my extraction process untill i know what it is.

It may be someone contacted the Holden family and the video is now evidence.

BTW, that outside bowl was already in shambles and falling apart at the edges, the shovel didn't do any additional damage that I saw. Some might have tried to dig it all apart with a scalpel and a toothbrush, but you guys must be awfully patient!
