I think the banner find that was put up the other day should be replaced with this one. This one is way better if thats possible.

Kudos dude but really, you're killing me man!

When and if you find that payroll loot I'd start keeping it hush hush. For real. Ive learned my lesson by revealing too much about sites. Not no more.

Now you have me paranoid!:BangHead:

He doesn't need to say where they were found, just keep the pictures rolling (without GPS co-ords, of course):laughing7:

Great stuff, congratulations on the historic find! :icon_thumleft:

Hello, Well they are all cleaned and preserved! The Grape shot is very cool.

Amazing recovery! i would love to hear some details.

I had to check it out again.Just simply awesome!

WOW! This is an outstanding find! Congratulations on finding them and for making the BANNER! Way to go, Breezie

Amazing find! Wow!

Anita

so were any of them shot? or were they all just dropped in the water? make sure they are solid shot, i have heard some of the explosive shells can still blow up if the powder was sealed dry

Yea I figured you may have been at a disco earlier :laughing7:

actually didn't notice it was a dive suit since it is not something I Have any experience with & Don't
see allot of.
Definitely a Cool & Unusual find. :headbang:
I would have guessed for sure they were in a dry place.

congrats !
Last week, I posted a congratulatory message, but I have a question. First of all, I know very little about Rev. War cannonballs, and know less about diving, but wouldn't the water eventually disintegrate the hemp covering after 230+ years? Congratulations again, Breezie

Very sweet recovery!! Some real history there!

Steve

After about 3 of them, I would not be able to breath, let alone dive...
Great recovery..definite banner!

Hi Breezie, to answer your question, when iron or any artifact becomes buried in the mud or sand, whether it be fresh water or salt they will be preserved from the lack of oxygen. The deeper they are buried in the mud or sand the better preserved they become.
I have recovered wooden artifacts from a 250 year old, salt water shipwheck, that was buried in sand and the wood looked like it was cut yeasterday.
