1 hole.... Not the greatest condition.

1- silver 2 reale 1780 ( Carolus)
1- silver 1 reale ???? (date not legible) but, Phillip V is legible!
8- US Large Cents ( 3 from late 1700's to early 1800's facing right & 5 early 1800's facing left )

The three with heads facing right are very worn, can't read dates...others are 1814, 1811, 2 from 1818, 1827...

Of the Large cents:
1 - Liberty Cap head
2 - Draped Bust
1 - Matron
4 - Classic

These are the facing right 3...not very good condition though.

Well, went back and didn't find anything! Lol... Still not gonna give up, it has to produce more! The property is about 7 acres, so have a lot to do.

Yeah I would definitely hit that spot again, congrats on your finds.:icon_thumright:

perhaps someones stash, could be more caches on property . maybe the gold was put elsewhere n another hole be fun finding out!

I do think it was maybe a stash, because they were right where the old stone wall property line "was" ...the stone wall is barely even visible, and once you get 3 inches down the remainders of the wall are there. It's an awsome place that I'll be going to for a long while!

I would check that hole again, the copper in the middle on the bottom row looks to have had a smaller coin stuck to it, none of which match the size of the coins you found.

Nah, not a coin stuck..just a weird patina build up.

I'd like to see the OP post a clear, close-up photo of the Liberty Cap cent for identification purposes. At a glance, I am pretty sure it is the Head of 1793. The date could be either 1793 or 1794, but the Head of '93 is a valuable type regardless of the actual date.

I will, just need to have my niece take a better picture, then I'll post a better pic. I have a nice mag glass, and the date is completely gone. Definitely a LC though can see that triangle bow pretty clearly, and the reverse side is very worn and can't see any detail at all! :-(. No side lettering either and a ill lick thumb can see date 1794.

That place would haunt you if you didn't go back. Good luck next time!

Here it is.. Front and backside.. Backside has nothing visible and this coin is thinner than the rest, also has a different sound on table. Hmm, could be just because it's thinner.

Better pictures of each coin... I am ecstatic! The three older large cents have bigger loops on the bottom of the wreath. All coins have 13 stars. Except Liberty Cap which is printed above the head.
