Detector(s) used
Whites GMT
Nokta The Legend
Fisher F-Pulse pinpointer
Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
Found a gold ring, one silver cross, one copper penny, green from corrosion, looks old can't read the date, one modern dime again can't read the full date but in the 2000's, one washer, lone steel block of sorts, and lots of pop-can trash.

Actually the clump of grass you see in the photo wouldn't let go of the gold ring took a minute or two to free it, so I kept it, as they must've been friends for quite some time.

Two hours of work to find all that with a bud, using a White's and a Nokta. Pinpointer being a must, I've learned the hard way, the pulse induction one I have reacts strangely sometimes and misfires a lot, maybe some adverse reaction to the VLF detectors I'm using. Anyone have an idea why? I've actually seen one metal detecting club prohibiting the pulse induction machines, but why exactly, I don't fully understand. Cheers.

Nice catch on the gold ring.

It would be like detecting beside an electric fence for interference. :dontknow:
