High School ring found and returned

Want to share a story that I just heard about this morning. Seems my brother lost his first high school ring 29 years ago. After losing that one he bought another one but from what I learned a group of detectorist back in Rochelle Illinios had a hunt on the school site and this guy first name John was the one who found it. My brother got it in the mail yesterday and they cleaned it up to where it looked brand spanking new. Just want to say Thank You John if your out there for finding and returning my brothers ring.

Cool I grewup there also from 1972 to about 1982

They actually lived in Steward now that I think about it but I may have gone to high school in Rochelle. I will ask them if they remember you. Would love to go up there and do some detecting in those great old schools and corn fields!

Been through DeKalb plenty of times. Used to work in Sycamore and would shop in DeKalb at K-Mart a lot. Haven't been back that way since 83
