Hi newbie from Cape Cod

Just bought a Teknetics 4000 11"DD haven't even got it out of the box yet. Found and old log cabin in the woods on an inaccessible area along a pond I live on. Planning on checking it out this weekend, watch for my posts if I find anything! The cabin shows up on an old map from 1847 I found online, hoping to find treasure! of course I would be happy just to find an old pull tab!!!

Welcome aboard! Good luck on your adventure, it sounds like a very promising site. I would have a pinpointer and decent digging tool in hand before Saturday if at all possible. It makes the hobby much more enjoyable.
