Metal Detecting
It's been many years since I used a metal detector and being retired, I'm thinking of getting back into it. I bought an inexpensive Garrett back in the early 70's, then moved up to a Fisher 1265-X a few years later, both from Kellyco. Several years back a friend asked me to look for a ring he'd lost and I found that my Fisher was no longer working. I'm going to try to trouble shoot the circuit but don't know if it's worth it. Any suggestions? Also, I'm considering purchasing a new detector but don't have a clue what to buy. I got the spark from watching a couple episodes of Diggers and it looked like they were using Garrett AT-Pros but I don't have much faith in any of the "reality shows"......most are pretty fake. Again, any suggestions for a nice model such as the Garrett model to search for coins/jewelry? I live in Central Ohio. Thanks in advance...........Steve

Steve,

Welcome aboard.....quite a few of the members on the Canadian forum use the AT Pro and they're very happy with it
it gives you both the chance to land and water hunt.

If you just want to land hunt....most of the brand name companies have some pretty good machines to get the job done.

Maybe contact one of the sponsors who should be able to help you narrow down the list for you.

Regards + HH

Welcome Steve! Garrett still makes great detectors, and the At Pro is a very versatile machine! If I can answer any questions for you on your search for a new machine, just give me a call.
