Hi Anyone familiar with a button like this

Hi
This button was found in an old park near the Erie Canal close to Lock Berlin N.Y.
If anyone has info on this type of button I would love to hear about it.
I am pretty inexperienced and still haven't found silver.

I had to update this.
I have been obsessed with finding out why my button was found at Lyons, N.Y.
I bet I was online 4 or 5 hours today looking at pictures.
To relieve stress I purchased season 2 of Diggers and binged watched the season today.
Episode 7 at the end I couldn't believe my eyes!
A worn out likeness of my button minus the mud found in New Mexico!!!!!!
