Welcome to the forum . Anyplace people have been people have left and lost

Welcome.

It reminds me of an old farm maple syrup boiling oven, similar to one found on my uncles farm in the 60's.

They had an old farm in the hills. Close to the farm house was the "normal" out buildings. Chicken coop, large barn for hay storage on top and cattle/horse stalls on the bottom with a good size tack room. Milking barn. But we found further out in the woods very close to the hillside to the bottoms was an old bricked oven structure similar to this one.

Might look like one but it's not an evaporator for maple syrup.
Texas maples don't produce enough sap for doing the process.

The beer bottle is an Anheuser Busch

Looks like an old chimney-style BBQ site. Many parks had similar; many were built by the WPA.
The metal cover looks line it was added later. Possibly for a smoker.

Nice site to continue exploring. Have you done any ground probing yet?
