Hernando De Soto

I'm not sure if this goes under this section but anyway. I was wondering if anybody had any information on Hernando De Soto's travels through Northwest Alabama? Also if anybody could tell me where I could find out what kind of things De Soto carried with him on his travels (Gold, Jewels, basically treasure), but anything at all? Any help would be great. Thanks.
