Here's a few nice specimens
My Grandfather was an avid rock hound in the 60's and 70's. He'd hitch up the camping trailer every long weekend and vacation and would head out with Grandma to some limestone quarry, strip mine, giant coal shale pile, etc.. I got to tag along on a few occasions to wield the heavy Estwing hammer.
I'm pretty sure he bought or bartered most of what's pictured, although the trilobite may well be one of his personal finds as he must of found hundreds of them here in Illinois, but that one's exceptionally larger than more ones he'd find here.
He left behind several large display cases of his better fossils and these are pictures of some of my favorites.
