Here is a Good One. What is it? WW2 Impact Grenade or Special Service???

Here it is... I was told that it is a WW2 Impact Grenade, but I've never seen any grenade like this type. I don't disagree that it is some kind of Grenade, but where is it from and who was suppose to use it? And YES, this is not a reproduction type - it's the real thing. Here are some spec. It weighs 15 ounces, 2 3/4 inch Sphere (ball), and it has an original Lt. Blue paint finish, also it is made from a cast white metal. Surrounding the grenade are tiny pin-rods; those are so when the grenade explodes it breaks up in small metal fragments.

LOOKS TO BE A BLU -26 MODEL TYPE. --MY VESSEL -- CAPE ANN --CARRIED CLUSTER BOMBS URING THE FIRST GULF WAR AS PART OF TASK FORCE 155* SUPPLYING THE CARRIER AMERICA

LOL! If it was mine, I would put it in my sock drawer along with my other goodies and not have a second though about it.

Having .50 cal brass rained down on my house in Turkey may have had something to do with it. , Eaaaaa?
