Here I Go Again, Another FANTASTIC day!!

Hey guys, got out today to a town 50 miles north of me, I thought about going there for a while just haven't gotten around to it. Started knocking on doors as soon as I hit the town but the first 3 no one was home, the next one the person said no, kinda rude like too, oh well :tongue3:

because the next house was amazing, circa 1834 sign right next to the door. Super nice old farmer said sure, go right ahead but someone was over it a few times in the past, so you know how the story goes.........GAME ON, i LOVE following after other detectorists, nothing like a challenge. So i gear up, turn on the atpro, set my discrimination and hit the ground, within 5 feet that sweet whistle of pro mode, nice 83-86 at 6 inches, i thought to myself "huh, so much for someone being over it lol" had a 3 wheat spill right at 5-6 inches!, moved forward a bit and bing bing bing, 55-59 at 4 inches, popped the plug and bang! 1943 P war nickel, my first of the year! This is where it gets weird/interesting. I kept going in my straight line gridding and got a strange 77-81 at 10", i figured ehh, why not, the ground was easy digging so i went for it. Funny thing is that this was a 1805 Draped Bust Large Cent!!, , my oldest coin to date! :headbang:

that's large cent #4 this year. All my other LCs in the past rang in at 88 and above :dontknow:

Again thinking "huh, someone hunted it out" lol. After that I kept gridding at a snails pace digging anything repeatable and of course dug enough ammo to stock the military for a year, Also dug a neat zippo-like lighter, some big buckle, a few smaller buckles, and then got a weird 65-77. I figured another bullet but it had a nice high tone to it, so i dug it and out pops my first True token!! An Alabama state luxury tax token!, a little research dates it to the 1930s.

after that i kept hitting wheats, nabbed a no date buff and then popped a few flat buttons and some clad in between. Got a valve stem from a model T also. Plus two small pocket knifes and some other trinkets. I was getting tired and hungry so I started gridding my way towards the car and got a super loud 85-86, now with the ground conditions and numbers being different than what im used to, i had no idea what it could've been. Dug a nice deep plug and as soon as i flipped it, i saw the beautiful rim of silver!, It was pretty deep so i was hoping for a SLQ or barber but as luck would have it i was graced with a 1943 Washington, heck silver is silver, ill take it! that makes silver numbers 13 and 14 on the year. The dates on the 19 wheats are from 1911 to 1947. Ive been writing WAY TOO LONG stories lately but Im having such a good time and what i feel is my best year yet and i like sharing the details.
