This piece is probably but I keep looking at it and am wondering if might be some sort of spokeshave. I have never found one this large."It fits the hand very well as if you should rub it along arrow shaft or whatever you need to smooth .Found in middle Georgia in a washout but I found nothing else in that area,actually in a subdivision . Thanks for any help ...Carl

In my opinion, it is just a naturally damaged rock. Spokeshaves almost always exhibit flaking in the working area . Also they often have a blade of some sort incorporated into the piece.
