Helping local fishermen really works.

You offered $200 already, I thought you said you upped it? I can do it for $300 as long as you sink it ha ha.....

OK, OK, $300. I bet the local scuba shops would love to have a new wreck to dive on.

Local scuba shops ha ha. I live in the boonies there is one scuba company 65 miles away near the northern tip.my house is at the red arrow ( shuttle facingNE)........ ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1424351530.589034.jpg

Well, I got the sailboat yippee, but I have to pay the owner a couple of K to sweeten him to give me clean title and a bill of sale....instead of going to salvage court where the lawyers get all of our money. Fair swap in real terms.....

Nice. You gonna keep it or sell it, SADS 669? Do you know how to sail?

Probably gonna get it sold quick at 50% of value........only issue it has is missing forestay (at the moment) and some electronics removed before I got to it......I know how to sail......just about ha ha....

Nice haul Sads, looks like you saved her just as it was going over the edge of the earth.:laughing7:Congrats.:hello2:
ZDD

Got it in a safe anchorage now, found some stainless wire for the fore stay and a great compass from a buddy to replace the stolen one, basically we are getting there!ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1426717793.380245.jpg

The Rise and Fall of Reginald Perrin......

hope you didn't leave a pile of clothes on the beach!!!

boat looking good!!

Just heard from the owner, Bill of sale coming at the end of this month so hope it will all be settled by April........

Man, I wish I could buy this off you! It would be a heck of a deal for both of us! Good luck in your sale of it.

Well,
You COULD offer a "share" if any of the leads provided pans out ya know.

The locals are a wonderful resource,, but like any other resource, it must not be abused,,
Nurture the relationships you have developed and it never hurts to "pay forward".

Good stuff SADS,, I look for your posts now

Hit

Looks like it wound up to be a windfall!! Ha Ha!! Might be better to trade up to something else ya might need and get the full value worth! Start getting the word out to your fishing buds- word gets around. JR

I can probably let it go quick for 25k, or swap "one for one" for a diesel clunker(African queen type ha ha) that I can comfortably shipwreck hunt off.....(its a 1977 ...41ft Morgan Out island Sloop with walk through)

Going out in a few minutes to bosuns chair up the mast to run the replacement fore stay. Then all I need to do is sew up the torn Jib and its 100% ( apart from the stolen electronics, but people choose their own anyhow)

Hit, I will pay a couple of locals when it sells

Just got the bill of sale from the owner, the sailboat is now mine. There is more to treasure than shiny coins and gold and silver bars, hopefully someone will give me 25k for a 50 k sailboat......
