Hail Caesar, a bit more information would be good, like where was it found. But at first look, and if the inscription on the reverse reads what my eyes think it reads, my first guess is a silver denier from the city of Ancona, that is if the the letters on the reverse are VCS . Your best bet is to post in What Is It, there are more members with greater ID skills and better eyes there. Good luck:icon_thumright:

I would guess that it is a medieval Pfennig.
