Hi everyone,
I just got this Today, in a large job lot at auction.
Sticker reads- Art Specialty co, Chicago Ill. USA
I see they make many old industrial style lamps,
But i havent found one like mine.
Anyone know what it is used for??
I put in a new light bulb,
Colors are red, green , yellow, morewhite-yellow,
Can hardly see light when its green.
Thanks.

Given the colors, this is undoubtedly a photography darkroom safelight.
The red and yellow colors would be for used for handling undeveloped black-&-white film paper, and the green would be used in photo-resist applications.

I'm a digital "film" guy myself, but my photography mentor could probably tell you all you ever wanted to know about these, and more! :icon_thumright:
In many ways, a bygone era...
