Found this ring today at an old site and can’t find much on it and I couldn’t find the hallmark. I’m wondering if the ring is actually from 1830 or if that represents when the college was founded. Can anyone help shed light on that please... or help with the hallmark please...

Back in the day, I attended Miami University when Oxford College was an independent entity. Annually, the freshmen men at Miami University would be invited to the all-women Oxford College for a 'mixer' dance. To get there (about a mile away from my dorm) we had to walk or ride our bikes since cars were not allowed on campus. Today, all that has changed, but I keep great memories of the experience. Congrats for finding the ring, and renewing those memories.
