I'm new to this forum and fairly new to relic hunting. Found a chewed-up bullet yesterday and some type of adjuster buckle in the same field in Central VA. Several Civil War relics have been found there as well. Any idea what the buckle was from? A friend of mine found half of one exactly like mine a couple counties away in a prime CW spot. Thanks in advance!

With those double bars, I think that it is off of a saddle. Turn of the century age maybe.

Thanks fellas. I figured it was from some type of horse tack, just not sure exactly what it was from. I still think it's ironic my buddy found the same exact buckle 2 counties away with other Civil War relics like I did. Thanks again.
